Blogging can bring five changes in you
Have you ever thought that blogging can bring some change in you? Did blogging bring any change in you? If change is for better then as a blogger and a human being that change is welcome but if change turns out to be bad then there is need for the blogger to change his attitude and look at blogging from a different perspective.
This month I submitted my post to the Blogengage Blogging Contest #2. The article is about how to adapt to changes facing in blogging career. This set me thinking that the way there is need to meet changes in blogging career, blogging too can bring changes in the thinking of a blogger on his / her blogging journey.
A blogger has to change for changes in bloggingVsChanges in blogging can bring changes in you
The way our mindset changes as we grow into adult, a blogger’s mindset can also change along his blogging journey and some of the changes may chalk out some new capabilities. Do you see the following positive changes in you?
1. Blogging changes interests
When I first surfed internet and saw that money can be made online, I found paid to click programs as the simplest way to make money. Daily you just have to click a chunk of ads in your inbox. That is all. In fact my first article on this blog was “Make Easy Money with Trekpay“. I started this blog to promote paid to click programs but as I published the article I realized that something is not ok. What is this? Just a monotonous clicking of some hundreds of ads daily. This is not the right way to make money? This is not what I started blogging for? Then I diverted my interest to make money online other ventures like affiliate programs and blogging mainly.
2. Blogging improves writing
Blogging not only has given me a new hobby ( or a job if it turns out to be successful ) but also has brought enhancement in my writing ability. Reading top blogs like Problogger, Shoemoney, EntrepreneursJourney, DigitalInspiration and QuickOnlineTips makes every blogger write and write well to get more and more readers to eventually earn a sure future income just sitting in the comfort of home. Bloggers constantly ask these questions to self like what to write, how to write, and how frequently write. One year down the line, I am more comfortable with these questions. With publishing each article we understand social media, seo, fellow bloggers and gain insights and experience leading to sharpening blogging skills. So the moral is write, write often and write well.
3. Blogging teaches confidence
Blogging has taught me self-discipline. Today, blogging is like a race for better writing. Survival is the fittest according to natural theory. Similarly, one who writes better is the fittest and wins the race. The fear before pressing the publish button about how the article will be taken by its readers is generally seen among new bloggers and I too felt that way. But now I consider every article as my knowledge, views and experiences that I think are useful and share with others. With time, I have overcome my self-doubts with confidence and urge to move forward.
4. Blogging teaches patience
A blog’s success depends upon it’s content and traffic. Just setting up a blog and writing a few killer articles does not get readers. Effective marketing to social media and search engines is necessary for people to know about you and your site. Getting less or no comments, decrease in organic traffic, decrease in referral traffic, decrease in social followers, and guest post rejection can be a setback for a blogger. Getting complacent with positive developments and frustrated with downtrends will do no good. These are the testing times that a blogger has to accept and face bad patches with patience. I got worried when my blog alexa rank went back up to 350,000 in a few days but soon realized that it is not a worry but a reminder to me that I have to be regular and cannot leave my blog dormant.
5. Blogging meets new people
It is amazing how small this whole world is. Blogging brings people close together from all parts of the world. Since blogging is mainly about writing a blogger has no problem understanding the language or accent of fellow bloggers. I realized this while listening to some video tutorial which I could’nt understand because of different accent. But while blogging, bloggers share their views through blog comments and chatting and need not listen to other blogger’s voice. The three dofollow social sites I mainly visit to read great articles are blogengage, blokube and bloginteract and I am glad all have chatting features. Blogging helps in meeting new bloggers and share views.
I think blogging can bring positive as well as negative changes in a blogger but what makes a blogger shine is convert the negative changes into positive too.
Each of us reading and writing today have been influenced in one way or the other in the blogging world. How has blogging changed you?

Agree with you. In my initial days, I used to blog about computer security, but now as I have progressed, I have developed huge interest in blogging and seo and started another blog for the same niche. And what is the most important factor that a blogger should possess??? Its definitely patience!!!

I think as we progress in blogging, it brings out the real talent and interest in bloggers which is good. After all one can do well only if he has interest and some inherent talent. Hurrying up things will only lead to faults, errors, wrong content, loss of readership and money. It is good to maintain patience.
Thanks Rajesh for sharing your experience. It does help other bloggers.

Kavita,
These are great points!
I started blogging 6 months ago, but I feel that I’m at least a bit more confident than when I started.
I’m planning of writing a review of my first year blogging when that time comes. It’s funny to see how I have changed.

Hi Timo
Writing reviews on self is a good way to look back how one has progressed from the start and how to move forward. Writing and reading your own reviews is also a feeling of satisfaction, confidence and motivation that you have done this and that so far and have to do this and that more.
Reviews is a good way to judge your performance and to change for changes. Yes, it is exciting. Will be looking for your review.
Thanks for liking my points and sharing your views.

Hi Kavita,
You’re absolute right. Blogging has given me a lot, and it certainly brings changes to us. To me, the biggest changes has been the quality of writing (and I’ve even written a novel after I started blogging). But I have also changed interests or perspective. Like you, I was focused on an easy way to make money. But now, I’m focused on relationships and helping others. And because of all the nice feedback I’ve received (and all the things I’ve learned from other bloggers) I have gained confidence.
When it comes to patience, I’m not so sure. I am still very eager to rush my posts, and I can hardly wait to get a comment
I have also met a lot of very interesting people online, that’s been the greatest experience as a blogger.
Have a great weekend Kavita.

Hi Jens,
Thanks for sharing your views.
It is really amazing how blogging brings changes to our life, lifestyle and interests. I agree that writing is the one important asset that I can guarantee a blogger can develop his writing with each article.
A blogger to be in the market has to post quantity with quality regularly. Thus, blogging brings the hidden creativity and innovative thinking in us. I have always considered blogging as a healthy blogging and feel happy from my heart seeing so many teenage bloggers as well as aged say 60+ bloggers.
Like body, brain too needs good exercise and blogging is the best.
Next 15 days I will be busy shifting my home. I will surely give feedback about your ’21 days to marketing success’ after that.
Have a great weekend to you too.
Kavita recently posted..Sunday Shines 1 – Articles I liked most
You are right Kavita, in last 6 months blogging brought me many changes to my lifestyle as well as interests. Similar to you I also started with paid to click sites. In fact the first 10 – 15 posts in my sites was about those paid to click programs. But soon I realized that spending whole day clicking ads and making few cents is not what I need to do. So I shifted my interests to blogging and seo. My old posts about paid to click websites still ranks good in Google but I am not much interested in the traffic I am getting to those articles.
After I start blogging I was able to find and meet many people from different countries and belonging to different culture. As a person who likes to spend time with friends this was a great thing for me.
Sure, once I started blogging my writing skills improved dramatically. Still it is not the excellent but much better than what it was 6 months ago.

I absolutely agree with you Kavita, as we gain more experience and add up more knowledge, the change gradually is natural. On the one had by blogging we try to change the way our readers take something into their concern as well as we ourselves go on changing (refining?).
BTW, it was a bit gap in browsing my favorite blogs in recent days and glad you’ve improved your blog a lot and made it a worthy place to hang on.
